Things that were added, renamed, moved or retired, newest first. If you're looking for something you remember from an earlier visit, it's probably here.

Maintainers run the bounty draw

Running a bounty's draw, simulating it, ending an assignment and moving a deadline moved from the admin pages to the maintainers of the bounty's repository, on the Bounties tab in Maintainers. Every real draw and unassign is listed publicly under Draw history on the bounty. Admins keep the draw settings, on their own Bounty draw settings page. See Bounties on your repositories.

The Bounties pages now need you to be signed in. The bounty rules page stays public.

The docs moved into the app

These docs now live at grainlify.com/docs, on the same site as the app. Every page can be read without signing in. Pages that only admins need are shown only to signed-in admins.

Help moved to the rail and its own page

The Get help button that used to sit in the bottom-right corner of every page has gone. In its place:

  • Get help is the last icon on the rail, and opens the help form inside the app.
  • grainlify.com/support has the same form, and works without signing in, for when you can't get into your account.

See Get help.

Grainlify Bounties launched

Bounties are fixed amounts posted on open-source issues through the Grainlify bounty agent, and paid in USDC on Solana. They have their own Bounties icon on the rail, a public rules page at /bounties/rules, and a ledger of every payment. The top of the Bounties page says whether bounties are paying on mainnet yet.

Open Source Week became GrainHack

The community event once called Open Source Week is now GrainHack. Its events are under GrainHack on the rail, and your own applications, assignments and results are under My GrainHack. Issues are assigned by a weighted draw, and the rules are published in My GrainHack → Rules.

See What GrainHack is.

The points programme was retired

In August 2026 points stopped being earned or redeemed, and the Redeem page was removed. A link to it now takes you to Settings → Rewards.

Points were replaced by the Founding Contributor Pool: a fixed amount of USDC, announced up front, shared among contributors who qualify. Because the pool is fixed, the total can't grow however many people join. And because it's divided by every share everyone earned, nobody can know what a share is worth until it's shared out.

If you see a legacy redemption in your history, it's from the old programme. See Founding Contributor Pool.

Referrals stopped paying points

Referrals used to pay points. A completed referral now counts toward the Founding Contributor Pool instead, and it earns you more if the person you referred goes on to ship merged work. Shares from referrals who only verify are capped. The live numbers are in My GrainHack → Rules, under Founding pool.

See Referrals.

Social follow changed twice

  • It stopped paying. Following Grainlify used to earn points. It now earns nothing by itself, and is a requirement for the Founding Contributor Pool instead.
  • The platforms changed. They were GitHub, Telegram and LinkedIn. They are now LinkedIn and X, and you submit both screenshots together. Nobody had submitted proof when this changed, so nothing was lost.
